Italian company Cad Modelling Ergonomics has launched a new portable 3D body scanner wich allows the industrial scale production of custom fit clothing.

Cad Modelling Ergonomics will exibit its sizing technology at Pitti Immagine Bimbo in Italy, later this month. The Florentine company’s exhibits will include Formax Anthropometrical Mannequins, available in several men’s, women’s, children’s and baby’s bodyshapes, said to help fashion professionals check fit.

Italian company Cad Modelling Ergonomics, producing tools for model makers since 1968, presents now a new range of mannequins designed to test and develop active wear and sporting garments.

The labelling debate could soon be superseded in particular segments by technological advances. Florentine company Cad Modelling Ergonomics released a commercial version of its portable 3D body scanner in Italy earlier this year.
